This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring freight movements to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Daily activities include coordinating with carriers, internal dispatch, and customers, creating and updating shipments in the system, and tracking loads from pickup to delivery. The Logistics Coordinator will communicate shipment status, resolve issues or delays, and maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and documentation. The role also involves supporting rate quotes, verifying compliance with company procedures, and collaborating with team members to improve logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret logistics data and optimize routes and costs.Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams, both verbally and in writing.Candidates should possess customer service skills to manage inquiries, resolve shipment issues, and maintain professional relationships.Candidates should possess inventory management and supply chain management skills to track freight, monitor stock levels, and support end-to-end logistics processes.Relevant experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is preferred.Proficiency with logistics or transportation management systems and standard office software is beneficial.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
