With over 700 employees nationwide, they have become one of the largest and most established firms in the United States.We are seeking a Controls Engineer in Lakewood, CO, to support the design, implementation, and project management of large-scale automation projects, primarily in the oil & gas industry, with additional exposure to life sciences and building automation. This role requires strong experience with Rockwell control systems (preferably PlantPAx), safety instrumented systems, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while collaborating across teams.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement Rockwell-based control systems for capital projectsLead system architecture, control strategies, and class-based design for scalabilityManage project schedules, budgets, and resourcesDevelop electrical designs (power distribution, panels, grounding) and specify instrumentationDesign industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, etc.) and integrate third-party systemsDefine computing infrastructure (servers, virtualization, cybersecurity, redundancy)Lead FAT/SAT execution and ensure regulatory complianceSupport advanced automation strategies, troubleshooting, and continuous improvementTravel up to 50% for commissioning and client supportQualifications:5-10 years of experience in automation and control systems (oil & gas preferred)Strong background with Rockwell Automation; experience with DCS/SCADA systems is a plusExpertise in industrial protocols, networking, and system integrationExperience with electrical design (MCCs, VFDs, control panels) and server infrastructureStrong communication and project management skillsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
