Oracle EBS Database Administrator (Oracle EBS DBA) Job Title: Oracle EBS Database Administrator (Oracle EBS DBA) Job Location: Sunnyvale, CA Compensation: $140K - $170K base, DOE plus bonus and RSUs Requirements: Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2, Oracle Database 12c/19c, Oracle Apps DBA, EBS Cloning, Patching, Performance Tuning, RMAN Backup & Recovery Position Overview We are seeking a local Oracle EBS DBA to join our growing IT team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for a hands-on database professional with strong Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 administration experience who enjoys working in a global enterprise environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing Oracle EBS environments while collaborating closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams. Key Responsibilities Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 environments Perform Oracle Database installation, upgrades, patching, cloning, and migrations Manage EBS application tier and database tier components Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database operations Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures Support EBS patching using ADOP and online patching methodologies Work closely with developers and functional teams on deployments and production support Ensure system security, compliance, and high availability Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 3+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2 administration experience Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c Experience with EBS cloning, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments Experience with RMAN backup and recovery Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience with automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Java, etc.) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Preferred Qualifications (Plus) Experience with MySQL. PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server administration Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Knowledge of AI technologies, Generative AI, AI-assisted operations, or AI-driven database monitoring and automation Chinese (Mandarin) language proficiency for communication with global stakeholders and business users.
