Assists with department work load by performing clerical activities necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the department.Responsibilities:Performs general secretarial duties to include: Processing mail, ordering and maintaining supplies, typing, filing, photocopying, faxing, coordinating meetings, and transcribing minutesServes as receptionist to the departmentProvides exceptional professional and courteous service to all internal and external customersAssist in maintaining the daily operation of the DepartmentAssist in data analysis and report trends to management as neededWorks with little supervision with ability to use critical thinking skills and utilize own judgment in making decisionsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Education/SkillsHigh School Diploma requiredComputer literateAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and writtenCompetent understanding of medical terminology is desirableMust demonstrate good interpersonal and analytical skills, the ability to work under stress and maintain composure, be able to prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.Experience* Six months to a year clerical experience, preferably in hospitals, or an equivalent combination of training.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications* None requiredWork Schedule:8AM - 5PM Monday-FridayWork Type:Full Time
