Safety Data Sheet Specialist

Job Summary:A leading healthcare technology organization is seeking a Product Safety Specialist to support product safety and stewardship initiatives within a regulated diagnostics and biotechnology environment. This role is responsible for maintaining Safety Data Sheet documentation, supporting product composition programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal product safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong scientific background, excellent communication skills, and experience managing complex cross-functional projects.Key Responsibilities:• Develop, maintain, and support Safety Data Sheet documentation for finished products and intermediates• Maintain product safety systems and programs to support regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Research and Development, and Technical Support• Collect and organize product composition information required for product safety documentation• Conduct product and material assessments to identify regulatory and supply chain impacts• Support long-term product stewardship and continuous improvement initiatives• Manage multiple technical projects while ensuring timelines and quality expectations are achieved• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers regarding product safety requirements• Develop standardized templates and processes related to product composition and safety documentation• Support implementation of environmental health and safety related product compliance activitiesRequired Qualifications:• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related scientific discipline• Experience with Safety Data Sheet generation and product safety documentation• Strong understanding of product stewardship, EHS principles, and regulatory compliance requirements• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities• Proficiency collaborating across cross-functional technical teams• Self-motivated with strong organizational and project coordination skillsPreferred Qualifications:• 5+ years of biotechnology or life sciences industry experience• Experience supporting product safety or product stewardship programs• Knowledge of product composition management and regulatory documentation processes• Proven experience leading or coordinating technical projects• Experience working within regulated manufacturing or laboratory environmentsBenefits:The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.Pay Range: $30/hr to $40/hr
