Travel RN - Med/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LTC experience and prior travel nursing experience.Job Details• Position is located within a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility,• Unit specializes in long-term care with dementia patients present across all units,• 12-hour day shifts, Monday through Sunday,• Every other weekend required,• Floating to other units is required,• 6-week contract,Job Requirements• Active RN license in Vermont (VT) or a compact license accepted; NY license with proof of pending also accepted,• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required,• Minimum of 2 years of LTC experience required,• Prior travel nursing experience required,• Comfort working with dementia patient populations required,• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required, with at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• Background check within 18 months of start date required (7-year nationwide, county court, FACIS 3, and sex offender search),• FACIS 3 and VCIC checks required within 30 days of start,Additional Information• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended,• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April,• Must work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day,• All pre-planned time off must be communicated upfront, as time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins,• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local; those between 51-100 miles qualify for a travel rate,• Distance to facility is measured by straight line, not driving distance,• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained,
