With over 60 patents and 21,000 systems installed across 37 countries, Komline-Filtra Systems offers a wide range of products ranging from water purification, coolant/oil filtration, air/mist collectors, and pressure filters.The role of the Industrial Water Applications Engineer is to support the sales team with backwashable media filter, dewatering, and water purification (PFAS) product sales. This includes applications and sales of equipment rentals as well as conducting water sample testing to develop best outcomes in determining the client’s needs. This is a position for a subject matter expert knowledgeable in the engineering aspect of the products that we produce and can therefore consult and advise clients as to their needs and how Filtra-Systems can service them. The role requires flexibility to move freely from the client interaction to the lab environment.Roles And ResponsibilitiesDevelop an in-depth understanding of our products, and our customer base by working closely with seasoned staff wo will serve as mentors in this roleLearn to manage Water Purification (both capital and rental) equipment proposal process, quoting, and sales process. $4M business annuallyConducts intensive testing of water samples to determine the client’s needs and how Filtra-Systems can best serviceInterviews potential customers to determine their needsUnderstand and be familiar with Piping and Instrumentation DiagramsUsing problem solving and consulting skills to help customers improve their businessHelps support the Spare Parts department with responding to client requests, shipping orders, etc.Staying abreast of emerging trends in the filtration industryWilling to travel by car or airline as needed for customer visits, trade-shows, and closing dealsOccasional overnight stays when requiredLeads and participates in trade-show seminars relating to our productsCreates and performs sales presentationsFollows up promptly on new opportunitiesAssists in keeping our website and sales media current and up-to-dateCarries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable lawsThis position’s performance will be measured based on customer satisfactionResponsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the companyPlans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal outputResponsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers.
