Shop Technican

Job Description Description:The Shop Technician is responsible for disassembling, cleaning, prep, reassembling, and drive train components. The Remanufacturing Technician will report to the Remanufacturing Shop Manager.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCleaning parts and maintaining a safe, clean working environmentWorking on various gearboxes, main shafts and componentsTroubleshooting service/repair needs and performing required work in a timely fashionPromoting a positive safety cultureProtecting the Company's value by keeping information confidentialEnhancing the Company's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add valueParticipate in the Company's Technical Training Program to continually improve their skill setOther tasks as assignedRequirements:EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIESTo perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following:HS DiplomaWind industry experience (or) related industry experience preferredProfessionalismAbility and willingness to learn new software applicationsExcellent organizational skills, communication skills, the ability to multi-task and most importantly, the ability to work well in a teamDemonstrated openness to change, flexibility and adaptabilityStrong analytical thinker with the ability to resolve complex issuesSelf-starter with a drive for continuous improvement of the business operationsExpress willingness to step out of the box to assist other teams to meet and overcome challenges for the companyPre-Employment Requirements:Candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to hiring. Team members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments. This position operates in a shop environment.Full Time position up to 40 hours per week; may require occasional overtime as neededSpecific physical requirements include:On feet for approximately 90% of the time while workingRegularly lifting weights of fifty (50) pounds and up to one hundred (100) pounds occasionallySome travel occasional, possibly overnight at timesTAKKION is an equal opportunity employer
