Our client, a well-respected, $200M+ specialty contractor in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Executive to join its leadership team. The VPHR will build and lead a modern HR function aligned with the company's operational goals and long-term growth strategy. This executive will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, driving workforce planning, succession, leadership development, and performance systems while strengthening the overall HR function.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish workforce planning processes aligned with growth and construction project pipelineImplement and optimize a modern HRIS platformLead succession planning for key roles and strengthen management capabilitiesIntroduce meaningful HR metrics, dashboards, and reportingEnsure compliance within a union-influenced, multi-site environmentBuild structured systems across recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and career developmentCandidate Requirements15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience5+ years HR leadership experience in construction, skilled trades, or other project-driven labor services environmentExperience modernizing HR infrastructure in growing organizationsUnion experience and HRIS implementation experience preferredRELOCATION WILL NOT BE OFFERED.
