Associate Scientist - CHO Cell Line Development
Our large Pharmaceutical client is seeking an Associate Scientist - CHO Cell Line Development to join their growing Biologics Discovery Group within their High Throughput Expression Team in Spring House, PA. Collaborating with their team of dynamic and innovative scientists in Biologics Discovery, they will be responsible for advancing the most cutting-edge biologics medicines to the clinic. The individual in this position will have several responsibilities in supporting CHO cell line development pipeline as well as leveraging a variety of robotic platforms and protein purification technologies to invent and deliver innovative therapeutic candidates. Other responsibilities include:Perform CHO cell line development cell culture processes including transfection, cloning, characterization, and cell bankingHands-on lab research for purification and characterization of antibodies or other proteins expressed from a variety of sources.Design, execute and interpret experiments with manager's approval.Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks in a timely manner and prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, etcQualification:Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biophysics or related fieldMinimum of 1 year of CHO cell line developmentExtensive cell culture experiencePrior Fermentation or Bioprocessing experience is preferredPrior experience with protein purification or expression is preferredSalary: $70,000-$90,000 (flexible based on experience)Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pmHiring Method: Multiyear contract – After 1 year on contract, the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role or have their contract renewed for another yearPTO: 10 PTO days, paid sick days annually & paid HolidaysBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plans availableExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
