Apply now »Date: Feb 20, 2026Location: Leeds, AL, US, 35094Company: Hubbell IncorporatedJob OverviewThe Product Engineer will perform design of product and process activities in support of new product development and product line sustainment for medium and high voltage switchgear products.A Day In The LifePrimary focus is MV/HV Switchgear or similar componentsCreating, updating, and reviewing design content requirements including but not limited to 3D models and associated 2D drawings, technical specifications, reliability calculations, multiphysics simulations, tolerance stack up, DFMEA, DFMA, and Design Validation Plans and Reports (DVP&R)Initiating and managing engineering changes and their required peer review for associated design contentIdentifying Design to Value initiatives for parts, assemblies, and processesReviewing of customer specifications and requirements to evaluate design requirementsWork with quality and manufacturing teams to sustain existing products and commercialize new productsProviding technical assistance to Applications, Process, and Quality EngineeringAssisting in product training activities that may involve internal staffing or customer training eventsTravel requirements involving off-site testing of products, marketing support, field review of product applications or training activitiesWhat will help you thrive in this role?Bachelor's of Science in Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM disciplineMaster of Science in electrical engineeringSolidworks and/or Autodesk Inventor ExperienceSimulation software experience – Ansys, Comsol, Simulia or other3D CAD experience, with the ability to create and manipulate drawings5 years of experience in design in a manufacturing environmentAbility to travel on business related trips (limited travel needs)Ability to walk around the manufacturing shop floor and lift 50 pounds as needed (part inspection, part fit check, product testing, etc.)PreferredExperience in medium/high voltage switchgear engineeringExperience with Altium PCB design SoftwareExperience with motor control and RTU communicationExperience in design of analog circuitsHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
