Technical and Trade SchoolsOther Fabricated Metal Product ManufacturingOther Specialty Trade ContractorsHardware ManufacturingGlass and Glass Product ManufacturingJob DescriptionAbout the Opportunity:SCP Limited, a manufacturer of ignition components for the HVAC industry, has an opening for a Furnacing Technician.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Furnacing Technician is responsible for maintenance and operation and loading and unloading of high temperature vacuum furnaces, adjusting run parameters to digital controllers and setup and maintenance of a variety of other manufacturing process equipment. Will need to run CNC machining during furnace auto-time.Education And ExperienceThis position requires, as a minimum, a 2-yr Associates Degree or equivalent experience. In addition, this position will be requiring:Detailed recording of research experimental results and observationAbility to work in a development atmosphere as well as a disciplined manufacturing environmentMust have experience with a variety of mechanical tools/machinery used in assembly of products and process equipment.Use of test equipment, requiring basic computer program setup per SOPsMust have experience with using a PC application such as Microsoft Excel and Word, small business systems, and freight shippers such as UPS and FedEx.Light to medium lifting (50 pounds)Preferred experience with CAD 2D and 3D drafting, hands on electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and/or plumbing experience, powder processing, high temperature vacuum furnacing, solder and brazing and research notebook and ability to read electrical and mechanical schematic drawings.
