Activity group facilitator

Job Description Develop and coordinate a variety of group programs, activities, and events based on the behavioral needs and interests of participants.Plan activities that promote social interaction, physical health, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being, such as games, art, exercise, educational workshops, or mindfulness sessions.Adapt activities to accommodate different ability levels and provide support to ensure all participants can engage.Book external entertainment, outings, or transportation as needed.Be willing to transport clients in company vehicle and own vehicle when group is small and close to office if absolutely necessary.Have a good driving record for past 5yearsLead and instruct participants during activities, encouraging them to participate and learn new skills.Build rapport with individuals and talk with them about what activities they might enjoy.Provide encouragement and support to help participants build a sense of community and reduce isolation.provide one on on skills training.Observation and documentationObserve, analyze, and record participant participation, reactions, and progress during sessions.Monitor and report challenging or socially destructive behaviors, applying appropriate interventions as needed.Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions and progress.Prepare progress reports for meetings with other staff and stakeholders.Collaboration and professional developmentConfer with members of the treatment team, such as counselors and administrators, to plan and evaluate activity programs.Coordinate schedules and efforts with other staff to ensure holistic support for participants.Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in mental health and activity therapy.Be willing to provide one on one services to clientsCompany DescriptionTree of Life Ministries Inc. is the Parent company of The institute for Child and Family development.
