SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: Accurately estimates the labor and material costs on competitive bids. Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses all costs - material and labor - for potential construction projects.
Assist with creating estimates and cost or expenditure statements for use in future project consideration.
Consults with Sales and provides Sales with detailed scopes of work for competitive bids.
Develop multiple estimates for a variety of materials in a typical construction project
Able to read and understand construction blue prints
Translate blue prints to quote/estimate for project
Know pricing structure of company and use Best Management Practice to win bids
Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to self-manage
Possess strong analytical skills
Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school, College, certifications or equivalent
1 year experience in a construction office environment
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) or SAP highly preferred
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SalesForce preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to read, write and speak in English language
Must have a proficient understanding of civil engineering and surveying terms and methods.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; and visual inspection involving small defects at distances close to the eyes.
