Our organization is accountable for program planning, financial budgeting, and project execution and delivery of all electric engineering projects. Electric Engineering is comprised of approximately 2,000 coworkers.Position SummaryThe Transmission and Substation NST (Notification Strategy Team) Engineer examines and reviews the findings and data from asset inspection activities regarding alignment to safety, maintenance and compliance guidelines. Incumbents apply their experience as an engineer, PG&E standards and procedures, and strategy-based analysis to validate and recommend determinations regarding which maintenance work needs to be completed. The successful candidate will work closely with other NST Specialists/NST Engineers and clearly communicate findings with other lines of business (System Inspections, SI Quality, Standards, Maintenance and Construction, and others) to ensure program success.This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory.PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $82,000Bay Area Maximum: $124,000ORCalifornia Minimum: $78,000California Maximum: $118,000Job ResponsibilitiesReviews submitted corrective notifications or inspections, attached images/analysis, maps and other information submitted from inspectors in company systems to analyze and evaluate the inspector's conclusions.Applies engineering, failure analysis, and strategy/risk principles when performing analyses.Applies and develops skills pertaining to area of specialization.Completes assigned special projects or audits at the direction of the NST leadership team.Assists Senior and Expert NST Engineers with quality assurance reviews of notifications.QualificationsMinimum:Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience3 years job-related engineering experienceAbility to travel up to 10 percent of working timeDesired:Experience in engineering, job-related, 5 yearsPE-Professional Engineer licenseProject Management Institute (PMI) certificationFamiliar with G.O. 95
