Our Golf Course Maintenance team plays a vital role in delivering a world-class playing experience for our members and their guests.Position SummaryThe Greenskeeper I performs routine golf course maintenance and groundskeeping duties under the supervision of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Foreman. This role supports daily course conditioning through mowing, trimming, irrigation support, bunker maintenance, and landscape care. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-minded, and enjoy working outdoors as part of a team dedicated to excellence.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperate hand-powered and small motorized equipment including mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and bunker rakesTrim and maintain greens, tees, aprons, banks, hillsides, cart paths, and bunkersSet tee markers and hole locations; maintain ball washers, flags, and tee towelsRemove debris and maintain flower beds and landscaped areasSand and seed divots on tees and drop areasMaintain fuel and fluid levels for equipment; report mechanical issues promptlyClean equipment and return it to designated storage areas dailyWater and fertilize tees, greens, and fairwaysAssist with chemical applications under the supervision of a certified applicatorMark the course for cart control and replace ropes, signs, and barriers as neededAssist with course projects including construction and renovation of greens, tees, and fairwaysGrade soil, lay sod, seed turf areas, and assist with irrigation system repairsAssist with installation of walk paths and minor construction projectsOperate utility vehicles, riding mowers, tractors, or dump trucks as trained and directedAdditional DutiesPerform other related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or managementQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent preferredLicense:Valid State of Hawaii Driver's License requiredExperience:Knowledge of golf course or landscape maintenance methods preferredExperience using hand and power tools and small equipment preferredSkills & Abilities:Ability to operate light motorized equipment and utility vehiclesStrong physical stamina, strength, and agilityAbility to work outdoors in varying conditionsAbility to follow oral and written instructionsCommitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanshipPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbsFrequent bending, kneeling, walking, and standing throughout the workdayContinuous mobility while mowing, trimming, and performing maintenance tasksOperation of riding and walk-behind mowers and utility vehiclesWork is 100% outdoors with regular exposure to sun, wind, and varying weather conditionsAbility to hear equipment operation and golfer warningsAbility to visually monitor surroundings for safety and course conditionsOccasional exposure to fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides in accordance with regulationsRequired use of protective equipment including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection as directedWhy Join KukioWork on a world-class private golf courseBe part of a skilled and supportive course maintenance teamGain hands-on experience in turf management and golf course operationsOpportunity for growth within golf course maintenance careers
