Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Engineer for our Structural Engineering Consulting firm. In this upper-level position, you’ll lead projects from start to finish, ensuring the successful delivery of final project outcomes while having direct responsibility for junior engineers, project results, and strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with engineers to analyze, design, and optimize structures for diverse projects.
· Assist in performing structural calculations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
· Contribute to CAD modeling, drafting, and preparing shop documents.
· Support the team in problem-solving and proposing innovative solutions to engineering dilemmas.
· Attend project meetings, workshops, and training sessions to broaden your knowledge base.
· Design structural steel connections, various building structures and foundation systems, stair & rails, steel detailing coordination, and general structural engineering consulting.
· Mentor, delegate, and oversee junior engineers' work on assigned projects.
· Take ownership of projects from initial quote and setup to invoicing and closeout.
· Provide final review of project deliverables.
· Work directly with existing clients and develop profitable relationships with new clients.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Engineering.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
Minimum 4 years of structural engineering work experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $88,000.00 - $103,000.00 per year
