This role offers exposure to a broad mix of corporate, transactional, and real estate matters, including entity formation, contracts, and business transactions. This position is actively interviewing and provides a strong partner-track position for attorneys seeking a diverse and hands-on legal practice.This opportunity is ideal for a Corporate Associate Attorney who wants to build a well-rounded practice across business law and transactional work. Attorneys will collaborate with experienced professionals while gaining direct responsibility in drafting, negotiation, and client advisory matters.Work for a well established regional law firm, with local, regional and international clientele. Particularly, this firm has a strong connection to Asian clients, which clients have been with the firm for many, many years. The work this firm does for their clients covers all areas of the law, including incorporation to mergers and acquisitions, immigration to intellectual property, employment matters to the distribution of goods and services, and the purchase and sale of assets to litigation. The firm atmosphere is very collegial, where lawyers meet on a regular basis to discuss changes in the law, exchange ideas and tackle specific client problems. For some of their international clients, this firm is the first stop when the client contemplates doing business or investing in the United States. The firm hires from regional schools, and values diverse experiences, particularly with Asian countries, more than just schools and grades. The firm is not hierarchical and partnership potential is real. There are plenty of young partners, and their doors are open for mentoring younger associates. It is simply a solid firm that specializes in representing Asia-based clients in their transactions in the United States, particularly in the Midwest.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Draft and review contracts, lease agreements, and real estate transactional documents • Assist with entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence processes • Support business clients with corporate governance and compliance matters • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on transactional and real estate projects • Review and revise legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance • Assist litigation teams with trial preparation and related legal work • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment ________________________________________Qualifications• 2+ years of experience as a Corporate Attorney or Transactional Associate Attorney • Active Illinois Bar required • Experience in corporate transactions, real estate, or general business law preferred • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ________________________________________Education• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school ________________________________________Culture & Firm AppealThis opportunity is with a respected regional law firm known for its collaborative and collegial environment.
