The candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. The position requires comfort in working with a diverse patient population, including those undergoing affirmation surgery. The shift is from 18:30 to 07:00. The candidate may need to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays and other future holidays during the contract. There are no on-call requirements for this position. The required patient ratio is 1:5 or 6. The candidate must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity. Scrubs are not provided; navy blue is the required color. The daily census is approximately 48 patients. The unit has telemetry capability, with remote monitoring for patients. The candidate may come into contact with patients who have infectious diseases. The facility requires that all employees have the flu vaccine. Two supervisor references are required for consideration. Clinical review will be conducted upon submittal. Modules and compliance requirements must be completed within designated time frames upon hire. Candidates in this specialty must pass an EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam for clearance.
