Senior Estimator

Senior Estimator Morrow-Meadows Corporation is accepting applications for a full-time Senior Estimator for its Electrical Division in City of Industry.Responsibilities:Collaborate with team members on selections of projects to pursueInterface and communicate with clients on bidsBuild strong relationships with customers and at times attend and coordinate social functionsWork closely with the Business Development Manager and frequently visit clients and assist with business promotionsSupport our preconstruction team as necessary in pursuit of their opportunitiesReview contracts on potential new jobs won and assure the contracts include our exclusions and clarifications and reflect our bid scopeSee that estimating documents are properly filed and organized at all timesUse technology to assure we are estimating at maximum efficiency and accuracyTrain and mentor junior estimating staff as necessaryAssist with negotiating prices and purchases as necessaryOrganize and lead kick off and hand off meeting on projects that are wonWork closely with operations on large bids and collaborate to ensure bids are complete and reflect our resource availabilityAbility to commute to Morrow-Meadows Corporation project sites for Estimating supportConsult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesAnalyze electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimatesPrepare and submit bid RFI’s and maintain logIdentify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotesReview quotes for completeness with plans & specsPrepare and maintain bid folderPrepare new construction and remodel electrical estimates using ACCUBID Estimating systemAttend job walks and pre-bid meetingsProvide electrical budgets and rough order magnitudes as requestedProvide value engineering and cost alternatives as necessaryThoroughly read project specifications and general conditionsMeet with clients to discuss and review estimatesInterface and work closely with Morrow-Meadows Corporation Subcontractors and Vendors Support and attend business development functions after normal work hoursBuild and maintain lasting relationships with our customersPrepare detailed proposals as required by our customers when necessaryHave fun!Requirements:Minimum 7-10 years experience in the electrical construction industryPrevious estimating experience required including projects up to $15mil in electrical valueStrong electrical knowledge in commercial construction including low voltage systemsProficient in Microsoft Office and Estimating Systems (ACCUBID Preferred)Customer focusedStrong leadership and managerial skillsTeam oriented and able to work well with othersDetail oriented and organizedStrong communications skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasks at the same timeAbility to work with tight schedules/deadlinesAbility to work late when necessaryEngineering familiarity preferredFamiliarity with the electric codeBenefits:Competitive compensation packagesMedical and Dental BenefitsBasic Life InsuranceLong Term Disability InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountWellness Program401-K Plan that matches up to $6,000 per employee annually8 paid holidaysYour birthday as a paid holiday3-4 weeks paid vacation/personal time off depending on years of employmentMorrow-Meadows Corporation provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.The compensation range for this position is: $135,000.00- $190,000.00 Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
