YARD ATTENDANT (CDL B)

Custom Truck One Source - CTOS is located at 9230 Cedar Knoll Drive, Grass Lake, MI 49240SummaryThis person will assist with loading and unloading equipment. The position also consists of maintaining the appearance of the yard/branch, assisting mechanics, drivers or other personnel with various labor-based tasks and completing other daily assignments that support the branch operations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperates forklift; load, unload, move, stock heavy equipment and product primarily by using forklift or other means.Operate a variety of light and heavy equipment including power tools to complete tasks.Oversee incoming/outgoing equipment for sales, rental, and service.Load and unload equipment and vehicles for drivers and customers and check for any damage.Responsible for the maintenance of the building, yard, and equipment.Monitor inventory in yard and oversee incoming/outgoing freight.Detail and clean trucks to prepare them for shipping/delivery.Test drive equipment if necessary.Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.Required Skills and QualificationsMust have valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL B) with a clean driving record; Class A a plus.Previous experience in a similar roleKnowledge and experience in operating heavy and light duty trucks and equipmentAdapting to changing work priorities; Meeting deadlines and schedules.Must have a strong attendance record.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.Working ConditionsAttendance - The ability to work as scheduled with punctual attendance 7:00 am- 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demandsMajority of work performed outside and in the shopMay be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumesPhysical RequirementsThe ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequent lifting (10-50 lbs.), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-10 hour day, and up to 50 hours per weekUse of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipmentAbility to see things in close proximity and distance whether through natural or corrected visionAbility to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per dayBENEFITS401(k) with Employer MatchCompetitive Health CareDental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Vacation, Sick and HolidaysSTD/ LTDPartner DiscountsInvestment in Employee DevelopmentCustom Truck One Source provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
