The Intermediate Lighting Designer, under the direct supervision of a more senior Lighting team member or Project Manager, will provide design support primarily in concept and design development and construction documents and other general lighting needs including: Designing and developing project presentations - lighting schemes, fixture packages, lighting renderings and calculationsCollecting information for client assessmentMay attend client interviewsProvide documentation support as neededAware of and provide support to the work of the Junior Lighting Designer(s) Qualifications:Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted3+ year experience or equivalent educational experience: architectural lighting design; 3D design/visualization Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Intermediate knowledge of the commercial interior architecture and/or design industryIntermediate knowledge of production proceduresIntermediate sketching and rendering skillsIntermediate sense of architectural lighting and knowledge of the properties and measurement of lightIntermediate knowledge of lighting productsIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsIntermediate Revit skillsAdvanced lighting calc skills (AGI132, Elumtools or similar)Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsBasic presentation and graphic communication skillsExperience with designing, specifying, and aiming/focusing stage and production lighting for all-hands spaces, corporate video production spaces, etc.Familiarity with DMX control system components and protocols.Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, based on education, licensing, and relevant industry experience.
