Senior Data Engineer - Credit Data Analytics

DescriptionThis role is responsible for driving data engineering efforts to deliver enterprise-wide capabilities and complex data solutions. Key responsibilities include directing code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. You will also collaborate with the Project Management team to define outcomes and inform work structures, providing technical thought leadership by implementing complex data solutions and interactions across multiple systems and domains.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a range of analytics and automation solutions, including data extraction, analysis, reporting, and dashboard design.Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring design and engineering consistency across systems.Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate large data for operational and analytics data systems.Build complex processes supporting data transformation, metadata, and data quality controls.Collaborate with development teams to ensure data architecture feasibility and design pipelines for data-informed decision-making.Contribute to test suites and analyze test reports to identify and resolve issues.Lead identification of gaps in data management standards and develop plans to close them.Mentor Data Engineers in continuous integration and delivery events, and define key performance indicators and internal controls.Utilize analytical skills to develop analytics and automated testing solutions using tools and programming languages.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion with high standards of work.Coach and train junior team members in execution of analytics and automation activities.Managerial ResponsibilitiesModel an inclusive environment for employees and clients in alignment with diversity and inclusion goals.Demonstrate deep process knowledge and promote operational excellence.Communicate enterprise decisions and connect team strategies to objectives.Ensure risk management discipline is in place.Provide coaching and feedback to motivate team performance.Manage expenses and budgets effectively.Assess talent and build organizational bench strength.Deliver results by prioritizing and delegating team work effectively.SkillsAnalytical ThinkingData ManagementSolution DesignCollaborationTest EngineeringAgile PracticesApplication DevelopmentRisk ManagementRequired SkillsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, or related tools.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytic skills to navigate systems and reconcile data discrepancies.Track record in implementing automated data solutions.Ability to work independently or in teams on multiple projects simultaneously.Strong written and oral communication skills for technical and executive audiences.Desired SkillsExperience with model development, machine learning, and data science.Familiarity with tools like DataRobot, Instabase, and UIPath.Employment Type: Full-Time
