MC&I offers an environment where engineers can contribute ideas, build lasting professional relationships, and help shape a long-term legacy of engineering excellence.About the PositionAs a Program Manager in the Oil & Gas group, you will be responsible for managing a large client portfolio within the industrial market. This portfolio has deep multi-discipline scopes including but not limited to substations, T&D, SCADA, I&C, field commissioning, system modeling, and complex electrical engineering. The role will support development, engineering, and construction support. The Program Manager will oversee the planning and progress on active projects and maintain exceptional client relationships across the various engineering scopes. This role requires the ability to manage multiple on-going projects and be the liaison between NEI and the client for all the projects we are supporting. The Program Manager will work with internal stakeholders to deepen the relationship with the client and drive the operations team to identify opportunities to create efficiencies and improve profitability with the targeted client. The Program Manager will serve as the Seller Doer for his client and support/lead negotiations with clients and Directors for onboarding of new projects. Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000 / yearThe salary range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.This opportunity is available to both local / in-office (Lakewood, CO) and full-time remote candidates. Ideally the candidate will live near or around Midland, TX, Odessa, TX, and/or Houston, TX.Essential ResponsibilitiesManages and serves as the single point of contact between the client and NEI Electric Power EngineeringWorks closely with Directors, Team Leads, and Project Managers to assign project execution teams across all the clients open projectsCollaborates with client leadership and NEI leadership to negotiate schedule, scope, and contract termsLeads various project status update meetings with client, providing schedule updates, submitting, and answering requests for information, and reporting on engineering progressManages the collection, organization, and filing of all project documentation, both internally and externallyCollaborates with support staff such as Project Coordinators and Project Managers to ensure projects on within scope, schedule, and budget as well as monitor cash flows, ETCs, EACs, and revenue recognition for the portfolio of projectsDevelops and implements processes and procedures that will help streamline client & NEI relationship & processesMaintains, manages, and improves upon existing client relationships across multiple engineering disciplinesTravels as necessary to meet with clients in a quarterly setting to ensure continued success and solicit feedbackAssists client in the strategy, planning, and evaluation of active projects with NEI Electric Power EngineeringTakes the lead on business development activities for the assigned client and coordinates with Client ServicesMust work with Directors and Team Leads to identify opportunities to create efficiencies and improve quality across all of the client's projects.Must work with and support other PMs who have projects with the targeted client to collect data, implement efficiencies and improve client services.Supports the Project Operations Director with onboarding of new projects and negotiating project schedules with the client and the technical directors for the projects scope of work.Other duties as assignedMust HaveEducation: Undergraduate degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or relevant fieldExperience: At least 5+ years of professional experience in a project or program management role is requiredCertification: PMP Required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire dateExtensive hands-on experience working within the O&G industry with large operatorsUnderstands upstream, midstream, and downstream operationsFamiliarity with electrical substations, transmission lines, SCADA, I&C, system studies, and distribution in a PM capacityStrong proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CPM scheduling, and Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalOutstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to maintain calm and effective exchanges by all parties during stressful situationsExcellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project plans and executive level reporting that ensures timely action and decision making in time-pressured scenariosAbility to travel upwards of 25% to visit clients and potential job sitesMust be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisWork EnvironmentWork Environment: Work is performed in an office setting and some field work may be requiredTravel: Typical, 15 25%Physical Activities: Must be able to lift 25lbs.Managerial Responsibility: Team Member is responsible for managing their own work schedule with input from their supervisor and completing assigned tasks.
