Tool Service Technician
Duties:
The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated
with being a Machine Technician. To qualify as a Machine Technician, an individual
must be able to setup and operate at least two manually or CNC controlled surface
grinders with a minimum amount of supervision. Some of the duties will include:
Re-sharpen perforating tooling by means of a precision grinding operation.
Inspect perforating tooling for defects and worn components.
Read shop order or work instructions and set up perforating tooling accordingly.
Utilize the plant console for information and priorities concerning tool set-up and machine schedule.
Maintain records on tool set-up and punch usage.
Select proper punch grade if required.

Qualifications:
High school diploma. One year of mechanical or related experience.
Must possess basic math and reading skills.
Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read a blue print and micrometer.
Requires ability to operate tool service equipment.
Requires ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted; 80 lbs. assisted.
Standing for extended periods of time to a maximum of 8 hours.
Stooping, bending, and stretching as necessary. Requires good hand to eye coordination.
