Accounting Manager – Manufacturing Southwest Indianapolis, IN (on-site or hybrid based on company policy)A growing manufacturing company located southwest of Indianapolis is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, and support business decision-making. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with strong general ledger and month-end close experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timelinessOversee the general ledger, including review and approval of journal entriesPerform and review account reconciliations and bank reconciliationsPrepare and support financial statement auditsManage high-volume invoicing processes and ensure proper revenue recognitionPartner with leadership on Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting and forecastingIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controlsSupervise and mentor accounting staff as applicableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturingStrong knowledge of month-end close, GL accounting, and reconciliationsExperience supporting or leading financial auditsExposure to FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)Proficiency with QuickBooks requiredAbility to manage high-volume transactions with accuracy and attention to detailStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
