Valet Attendant - Overnight Part Time
Job DescriptionThe Valet Attendant provides exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. In this key role, you will offer information about check-in, opens and closes car doors and hotel entrance doors, parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage during arrival and departure.Job ResponsibilitiesOpen doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving propertyMonitor and direct personal and commercial vehicle traffic on property, including guest vehicles, taxi cabs, limousines, and buses, to ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of trafficSupply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activitiesMonitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any vehicles/safety hazards, unauthorized personnel, or potential security problems to the managerMaintain security of vehicles and vehicle keysCommunicate parking procedures to guests/visitorsIdentify and explain room features to guestsTransport guest luggage to and from guest rooms and/or designated bell areaAssist with luggage storage and retrievalAssist guests in/out of vehicles, including assisting with loading/unloading luggageAssist Concierge and Front Office staff with guest requests and services, as neededFollow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to managerFollow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professionalDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with othersPerform all other duties as assigned by supervisorJob RequirementsStanding at least 8 hours a day. Running up to 200 yards, 50 times a day or moreEntering and exiting customers vehicles 75 or more times dailyLifting wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, baggage, gifts, etc. (in and out of customers vehicles)A valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle. This license must have been held for at least one year prior to applying.
