Upper School Mathematics Teacher

We seek an enthusiastic and committed teacher with deep content expertise, knowledge of and practice in constructivist teaching methods, varied assessment methods and tools, and student-centered, interdisciplinary pedagogy. Qualified applicants will have experience teaching the highest level mathematics courses, differentiating instruction for a wide range of learners, and incorporating state-of-the-art technology in the classroom. We seek an individual who is committed to promoting these values, and whose personal integrity and collegiality will enrich a high-achieving department.TeachingPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESTeach 4 sections of upper school mathematics, including Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus, and Calculus Maintain an accurate and up-to-date online gradebook, effectively and supportively communicate with students and families in a timely manner, and provide written and oral feedback on student progressMaintain an up-to-date Google Classroom site, including transparent assessment guidelines and rubrics Advise a math club or affinity groupWork with students on an individual basis, as need beAdditional ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate energetic commitment to professional developmentAttend and actively contribute to all-school, department, division, and team meetingsAttend community events throughout the school yearQualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in mathematics or related disciplinesExperience: 2 years of related teaching experience in upper school mathematicsSalary Range: $75,250 - $120,351Poly Prep strives to be an equitable, just, and diverse community, one proud of and deeply committed to empowering students to discover who they are and what they want to be.
