This role will support marketing initiatives, internal and external communications, and storytelling across the lab. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple teams to capture, communicate, and transform complex ideas into clear, engaging, visually compelling content.Candidates MUST submit a portfolio link in their resume or cover letter. Key ResponsibilitiesPlans, shoots, and edits original video content for marketing campaigns and internal communications while maintaining brand consistencyOperates and maintains professional video, lighting, and audio equipmentCollaborates with engineers and subject matter experts to capture and communicate complex technical processes and projectsDevelops creative concepts in partnership with internal stakeholders and brings them to life through compelling visual storytellingCaptures and produces video content for webinars, lectures, and live eventsSupports live streaming and hybrid event production, to include setup, operation, and troubleshooting of audio/visual equipmentManages video projects from concept through final delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are metOrganizes and maintains video assets, including raw footage, project files, and final exportsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in film, video production, motion design, or a related fieldProfessional experience in video production, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality work (required for consideration)Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality video content efficientlyStrong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendorsProficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, etc.)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentStrong storytelling skills, including experience conducting interviews and content researchSolid understanding of video production fundamentals (composition, lighting, sound design, and editing)Understanding of video optimization for web, social media, and internal platformsStrong situational awareness demonstrated by the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and navigate complex conversations with diplomacyAbility to assess and meet tight deadlines, set individual priorities, and maintain flexibility when priorities shiftMust be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US personPreferred QualificationsExperience using motion graphics and animation toolsKnowledge of typography and graphic design best practicesAbility to capture and edit still photography*Salary Range$46,000 - $96,000Salary commensurate on education and relevant experienceThis range serves as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as role, level, location, market conditions, and individual qualifications, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
