Hours:40Schedule:This position is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time, once training is completed. Hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve operations, connect business banking efforts to enterprise-level initiatives, and embed customer needs into digital and process transformation. The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic mindset, is comfortable with ambiguity, and is excited to lead work that improves the customer experience and business outcomes.Accountabilities:Strategic Planning and AlignmentDevelop and maintain a clear strategic roadmap for Business Banking that aligns with ESL’s corporate goals and initiativesConduct market research and internal analysis to identify emerging opportunities and risksServe as a liaison between Business Banking and enterprise strategy, helping to ensure consistent direction and decision-makingDevelop staffing models and tools to provide input into headcount planning and resource allocationData and Insight-Driven Decision MakingLeverage internal data sources and business intelligence tools to assess business performance and identify operational improvement areasInterpret external market research and competitor analysis to uncover emerging risks, industry shifts, and potential areas for innovationDevelop reporting and dashboards that support business banking leadership with timely, data-informed insightsCross-Functional Collaboration and IntegrationRepresent Business Banking in company-wide initiatives, including digital transformation and vendor evaluationsEnsure that business banking client needs are embedded into evolving technology platforms and service modelsBuild strong partnerships across internal teams to drive alignment and executionOperational Effectiveness and OptimizationCollaborate with ESL’s Process Management team to review and improve business banking processes, with a focus on consistency and efficiencyLeverage data, automation, and digital tools to streamline service deliveryDevelop general frameworks that balance consistency with customization for Business Banking products and servicesContinuously Develop Skills and Advance ExpertiseStay current on industry trends and best practicesParticipate in training and self-development opportunitiesPerform other related duties as assigned or appropriate to support business needsQualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, finance, management, information systems, or related field Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or willing to complete within first year of employment7+ years in business operations, process, strategy, or related role, including:Demonstrated experience leading process improvement or change initiativesDemonstrated experience in financial services operations, preferably in business or commercial bankingDemonstrated experience analyzing data, developing recommendations, and presenting findings to senior-level leadershipDemonstrates alignment with ESL’s Core Values, mission, vision, and purpose to help our community thrive and prosperPreferred Qualifications:Strategic mindset balanced with understanding how people and processes interact across the organizationClear and persuasive communication, both written and verbalSkilled at translating complex ideas into actionable plansComfortable interfacing cross-functionally at all levels of the companyExperience navigating ambiguity and shifting prioritiesCollaborative and open to new perspectives and ways of workingWe’re committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
