Brief DescriptionThe Safety Professional monitors workplace and commercial construction project activities to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations. The successful candidate will work independently while supporting field personnel and demonstrate a high level of construction safety expertise.Key AccountabilitiesIdentifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problemsConducts employee training on applicable safety standardsReviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements and updatesConducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulationsInspects safety equipment; recommends replacementDrafts and implements internal safety standards and policiesPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirementsEducation And Experience:Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferredOSHA 30 for Construction and CPR First Aid certificationAdvanced knowledge of construction safety techniquesSkills & Abilities Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable OSHA standardsExpertise in trade-specific hazardous recognitionExperience in case injury/illness management and investigationExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to conduct safety coaching and trainingAbility to clearly understand and champion company mission and values that TIES us all together. Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary. Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be always worn. Hearing, respiratory and/or fall protection equipment must be worn when required.
