In this role, you will contribute to the design, management, and construction of a wide range of public works projects—including streets, sidewalks, bikeways, and other transportation improvements—working both in the office and in the field. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and supervisors who provide guidance, review your work, and support high-quality project delivery.Salary Ranges:Engineer 2 - $79,210.30 - $93,996.50/year (CG 18, R08)Engineer 3 - $85,983.30 - $103,336.48/year (CG18, R10)Initial placement is based on your training and experience at the time of hire.Career Progression:The series is structured to provide for career progression from Engineer 2 to 3 based on increased employee expertise and responsibility, independence of action, and experience in and knowledge of City systems and processes associated with the work.Minimum QualificationsOne (1) year of professional engineering experience in the design and construction of public works and/or private development projects; ANDBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field.
