Today the Company employs nearly 2,100 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.Our purpose is to create a safe and reliable world and our mission is to deliver assurance through precise technical and professional services.The Position:The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in supporting financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of obligations. This position is responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records, managing vendor relationships, and upholding compliance with internal controls. The Specialist also contributes to financial reporting and month-end close activities, working closely with internal finance teams to support ATS's commitment to precision, reliability, and operational excellence.Responsibilities:Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to paymentPrepare garnishment checks based on payroll reportsPrepare payroll deductions due to personal visa purchasesAct as liaison between corporate and branch accounts payable departmentsRespond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepanciesMaintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and filing systemsAssist Corporate Financial Officers and branch personnel as neededAssemble and process overnight shipments to vendor or branchesSupport monthly closings and prepare account analyses as requiredPerform general administrative tasks such as filing and copyingCarry out other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsRequired Experience and Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accountingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelFamiliarity with accounting software and ERP systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated problem-solving and customer service abilitiesAdditional requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAbility to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, boxes)Manual dexterity for operating office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scannersWork Conditions:Standard office setting with a professional, team-oriented atmosphereRegular interaction with internal departments and external vendorsMay require occasional overtime during month-end or year-end close periodsEOE/AA/M/F/Vet/DisabilityATS is an equal opportunity employer where employment is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications without discrimination due to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as established by law.U.S. Persons" Only: A requirement of this position is access to information that is subject to U.S. export controls under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR").
