Ink Technician with ink Formulation & Blending Experience

Job Title: Ink Technician Location: Arden Hills, MNPosition SummaryThe Ink Technician is responsible for producing high-quality blended inks that meet customer specifications. This role involves hands-on work in the ink formulation process, ensuring accurate color matching and timely delivery of press-ready inks to customer equipment. The technician will maintain organized work areas and contribute to quality assurance by adhering to production schedules and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate within the Flint TPS Ink Management system to provide blended inks tailored to customer processesWeigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks efficiently to customer equipment while adhering to quality standardsPerform precise color matching and ink formulation according to customer production schedulesPrepare and maintain accurate documentation, including records of color matches, ink adjustments, consignment returns, and customer complaints as directed by the supervisorAssist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to support a safe and efficient work environmentAdhere to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelinesExecute additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisorDecision-Making ResponsibilitiesEnsure the quality of the product delivered to customers by verifying conformance to specificationsSelect appropriate raw materials and assess the suitability of finished ink matches for new color formulationsEvaluate the suitability of returning ink for recycling processes QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or a related field is preferredExperience in ink formulation, blending, or a related field is a plus but not requiredStrong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accuratelyExcellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentWillingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologiesLeadership skillsPress toning experienceFlexo printing experienceColor formulationColor matching experienceMust live within 40 miles of the working site Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periodsComfortable working with chemicals in a production environmentComfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts Skills and CertificationsExperience toning inksFlexo printing experienceColor formulation and matching experienceExperience working with water-based inks
