HOMELESS HOUSING SUPERVISOR

The Homeless Housing Supervisor is responsible for working with direct staff in the SEI Homeless Housing Program direct staff to ensure program compliance successful completion of program objectives. The Homeless Housing Program provides a wide variety of services including; Housing placement, Housing Retention, System Navigation, Resource Coordination, and Permanent Supportive Housing Support for both the Adult and Family Systems. This position can carry up to a half-caseload and reports to the Housing Program Manager. Self Enhancement Community and Family Programs is located at, 2205 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland OR 97211.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesWork with the Housing Program Manager and additional Homeless Housing Supervisor to provide supervision of Homeless Housing Team including case assignment, tracking, monitoring, case staffing, crisis support, creation of process, and other supervisory and administrative tasks for the Homeless Housing Team. Work in collaboration with the Homeless Families System of Care and attend required “Middle Management” system meetings. Provide “Assertive Engagement Case Management” using SEI service delivery best practices. Assist Program Manager and additional Homeless Housing Supervisor in ensuring SEI Housing Program compliance and responsibilities, including Housing Management Information System (HMIS) data collection. Train, support and maintain understanding of SEI program requirements to ensure fidelity in direct staff service delivery. Develop and supervise staff in keeping client-centered Goal Action Plans to remove barriers to; housing stability, education, well-being, optimal finances, and employment, with the goal of assisting participants to increase their economic and social mobility. Demonstrate the SEI Fundamental Beliefs and SEI Standards and ensure fidelity to the Fundamental Beliefs and Standards in all Housing Program service delivery. Develop quality relationships across the Department and throughout the agency to ensure knowledge and awareness of all SEI programming. Advocate and negotiate with government agencies, and other community partners on behalf of clients. Maintain files and documentation as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONSOne year case management experience in homeless housing service. Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or in a related field preferred. Experience working with diverse populations and conducting the Multnomah County Coordinated Access Vulnerability Assessment and initiating support services. Must share the SEI Fundamental Beliefs about working with children and families. Must be able to demonstrate the qualities of; Strategic, Driven, and Self-Aware. Must have effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact with people of varying social, economic and education levels. Ability to successfully motivate and connect with others. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions, rules and procedures. Excellent writing skills to include proper grammar, report writing/formatting, proofreading and editing. Demonstrated ability to work independently or with teams. Advanced computer skills to include the entire Microsoft Office Suite.
