Job Description Company OverviewReedy River Landscapes is a design-build landscape construction company focused on creatinghigh-quality outdoor spaces that improve how people live outdoors. Our projects range from$25,000 to $500,000 and include outdoor living spaces, hardscapes, drainage, grading, lighting,planting, and full property transformations.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Pre-Construction:-Prepare detailed construction estimates for projects ranging from $25,000–$500,000-Perform quantity takeoffs from plans, drawings, and site information-Build accurate budgets for projects containing: hardscapes (pavers, retaining walls, patios), outdoor living features, grading, drainage systems,Irrigation, lighting, planting, and site finishes-Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor pricing-Develop clear scopes of work for subcontractors-Identify missing scope items before projects move forward-Ensure all estimates meet company margin targets-Support value engineering opportunities when neededCollaboration & Team Coordination:-Work closely with the design/sales team to align project budgets with client expectations-Participate in internal pre-construction meetings-Coordinate with Project Managers during project handoffs-Provide operations teams with clear labor and material expectations-Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding pricing and availability-Maintain clear communication across departmentsSystems & Cost Management:-Use Trello to manage estimating workflows and project tracking-Continuously improve estimating systems and processes-Support accounts payable and expense management processes for job costs-Build and maintain estimating templates using Microsoft Excel-Maintain accurate pricing databases-Track historical job cost data-Compare estimated vs. actual job costs-Refine unit pricing over time-Support job costing accuracy in QuickBooksQualifications-3+ years estimating experience in: Landscape construction, Hardscape construction, Site work, or residential construction-Strong knowledge of construction materials and installation methods-Ability to read landscape plans and construction drawings-Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs-High level of accuracy and attention to detail-Strong math and analytical skills-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel-Highly organized and deadline-driven-Valid driver's licensePerformance ExpectationsSuccess in this role will be measured by:-Accuracy of project estimates-Projects consistently meeting target margins-No change orders caused by missed scope-Timely delivery of estimates-Strong coordination with operations-Clear project handoffs-Improved pricing consistency over timeCompensationSalary Range:$65,000–$85,000 depending on experiencePotential Additional Compensation:-Performance bonus tied to -Estimate accuracy -Cost savings obtained -Margin performance -Process improvement contributionsBenefits May Include:-Paid time off-Paid holidays-Retirement plan-Professional development-Mileage reimbursement for site visitsCompany DescriptionWe design and build custom outdoor spaces with an exceptional client experience.
