This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who can turn complex data into clear, actionable reporting that supports operational and strategic decisions. The role combines dashboard development, data modeling, and close collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, user-friendly analytics solutions.Responsibilities:Create intuitive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics that highlight performance measures, patterns, and business insights for stakeholdersWork closely with business partners, analysts, and data teams to define reporting needs and convert key questions into effective visual solutionsDetermine the best charting methods, layout approaches, and presentation techniques based on data structure and audience needsIntegrate reporting and visualization platforms with enterprise data sources such as cloud environments, relational systems, APIs, and flat-file inputsDevelop and refine data models, semantic structures, and calculated measures to support accurate and efficient reportingApply strong visualization design standards with attention to usability, accessibility, formatting, color usage, and information flowMaintain consistent reporting practices by developing templates, style standards, and reusable visual components across the BI environmentImprove dashboard responsiveness and scalability through query optimization, data design improvements, caching methods, and efficient loading strategiesPartner with data engineers and modelers to identify data reliability concerns and ensure reporting is built on trusted, documented datasetsProduce enablement materials such as documentation, user guides, training content, and repeatable templates to support self-service analytics adoptionRequirementsAt least 6 years of experience in data visualization, BI engineering, or a similar analytics-focused roleAdvanced expertise with one or more enterprise visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik SenseStrong SQL skills with the ability to build, tune, and troubleshoot queries across large relational and cloud-based datasetsSolid knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts, including relationships, aggregations, and calculated fields used in BI semantic layersExperience connecting reporting tools to modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Azure Synapse, or Amazon RedshiftStrong understanding of visualization and user experience principles, including accessibility, color usage, visual hierarchy, and responsive designProven ability to gather business needs and translate them into high-quality, production-ready dashboards and reportsExperience working independently, managing multiple deliverables, and communicating effectively in a contract or consulting environmentTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
