Dishwasher - E. 55th Street Marina

The Dishwasher/Prep position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. The incumbent also maintains a safe and clean work environment.Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine.Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.Changes dishwater in dish machine on routine basis.Washes pots, pans and trays by hand.Removes trash and garbage to dumpster.Sets up and breaks down dishwashing area.Performs other duties related to cleanliness of kitchen as assigned.Prepares food according to standardized recipes and assist in private events on and off site.Ensures compliance with applicable Health Department codes.
