Description
The VP, Corporate Communication provides enterprise-wide strategic leadership for all internal and external communications, ensuring clear and consistent messaging that strengthens our brand, reputation, and culture. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping organizational narrative, and driving alignment across all audiences and channels. Through integrated communications strategy and thoughtful execution, this role ensures messaging is timely, coordinated, and impactful, reinforcing strategic priorities and elevating the organization’s voice.

Job Duties:
Hire, develop, and coach talent, including leaders and individual contributors to achieve high levels of performance including engagement, retention and business performance
Drive the development and execution of an enterprise-wide corporate communications strategy aligned with organizational vision and strategic priorities
Ensure messaging is consistent, clear, and engaging across internal and external channels
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership on communications strategy, narrative development, and change communications
Oversee internal communications, employee branding, and enterprise-wide meetings to inform, engage, and connect employees
Ensure communications reinforce organizational culture, purpose, and strategic priorities
Lead high‑quality content development and production, including executive communications, enterprise updates, and key organizational moments
Build strategies to strengthen reputational resilience by identifying emerging issues and developing proactive mitigation and positioning plans
Develop and execute proactive media plans, manage press relationships, and respond to media inquiries
Oversee creation of compelling content for external audiences, including thought leadership, announcements, and storytelling initiatives
Direct crisis communications strategy and execution, ensuring preparedness, coordination, and effective response during issues or reputational risk events
Serve as steward of the enterprise brand voice, ensuring alignment across platforms and audiences.
Monitor external sentiment and emerging issues that may impact reputation
Proactively identify opportunities to elevate the organization’s profile and credibility
Build and lead a high‑performing communications team and/or manage agency and production partners
Partner closely with executive leadership, HR, Marketing, Legal, Corporate Impact, and other stakeholders to drive integrated communications
Establish governance, standards, and processes to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency
Requirements & Skills:
Required Experience: 10 years of experience in corporate communications or a related field, including 8 years in leadership roles
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in field relevant to role (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree), advanced degree preferred
Demonstrated success leading enterprise internal/external communications and advising senior executives
Expertise in media relations, crisis/issues management, and brand reputation stewardship
Exceptional writing, editing, and executive storytelling skills
Experience establishing governance, editorial standards, and content operations
Familiarity with communication analytics and media monitoring platforms
Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office – Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)
Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $200k - $240k annually + annual bonus
