LDAR Lead Technician
Job OverviewResponsible for the successful management and execution of all phases of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) project activities--from small-scale operations to complex, large-value projects. This role includes direct supervision of personnel, ensuring strict adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. The LDAR Supervisor is a communicator, a coordinator, and a catalyst for operational excellence; ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.Key Responsibilities/AccountabilitiesTeam Leadership Serves as the direct supervisor to a team of approximately 6 technical staff. Provides consistent, clear direction and follows up to ensure task completion and accountability.Manages performance through goal setting, routine check-ins, and real-time coaching.Ensures the team understands expectations and delivers on commitments.Client CareSolves problems with a proactive mindset and a commitment to long-term client relationships.Builds trust through transparency, responsiveness, and delivering value beyond the expected.Project Management Coordinates project activities to ensure they are on time and within budget. Maintains technician monitoring schedules with accuracy and consistency.Generates work requests, tracks maintenance follow-ups, and ensures resolution without delay. Reviews, improves, and enforces adherence to LDAR protocols and documentation.Operational Support Performs routine field operations and maintenance tasks. Conducts M21 monitoring and OGI Camera tasks Conducts QA/QC activities Ensures all work aligns with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Supports safety program implementation and actively promotes a culture of safety in the field.Staffing and Development Assists with identifying, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.Provides mentoring and technical guidance to new and existing employees.Promotes cross-training and professional development to build a resilient and capable team.Physical RequirementsStrength: Standing 50% Walking 20% Sitting 30% Lifting 35 lb.
