Investment Operations Business Analyst

Client DescriptionHybrid 3 days onsite in Boston, MA Our client seeks an experienced Business Architect to partner with stakeholders in Investment Operations. The role will translate business needs into a prioritized backlog, act as Product Owner, and guide cross-functional delivery teams using Agile and DevOps practices. The architect will design current and future state business architectures, manage delivery pipelines, and ensure high-quality releases through testing and validation. The work will drive operational efficiency and support portfolio accounting best practices. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2 ResponsibilitiesCreate and refine business architecture for Investment Operations by documenting functions, mapping dependencies, and performing current- and future-state gap analysis.Manage the delivery pipeline by developing project mandates, value stream maps, and incorporating architectural principles into the backlog.Serve as Product Owner to translate complex business needs into features and user stories aligned to the product roadmap and epics.Own delivery scope, ensure user stories are clear, and remove impediments with urgency.Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing and Post Implementation Validations to ensure successful releases.Provide subject matter expertise and coach delivery teams while mentoring business analysts in Agile and DevOps methods.Support daily operations for stakeholders and identify operational efficiencies to improve customer experience.Experience Requirements6 to 8 years of experience supporting Investment Operations in financial services, including review of business and system functional requirements and development of system specifications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven ability to translate broader initiatives into clear objectives and concrete goals.Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and collaborating with senior managers on business opportunities and risks.Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and resolve complex business problems, including facilitation of issue resolution and risk mitigation.Experience working with business users to translate needs into software deliverables and coordinating technical resources to deliver solutions.Background in portfolio accounting best practices (preferred).Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree.Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate.
