Escrow Officer
Overview:
The Escrow Officer is responsible for effectively managing the real estate closing transaction for insuring title insurance. Takes escrow accounts from origination to closing of each loan by determining requirements; assembling, preparing, reviewing, processing, and distributing closing documents; and disbursing funds
Specific Duties:
Prepare and review settlement statements in accordance with Texas guidelines
Review final closing and title documents for accuracy prior to closing
Correct and/or communicate inaccuracies quickly with clients and operations team
Monitor and facilitate HUD preparation/closings during critical evening hours
Potentially, perform other relevant escrow officer/assistant duties
Specific Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience with Texas HUD preparation/closing
Experience working in a high-volume or national title company
Experience with technology-based production using title/closing processing software
Strong knowledge of Texas HUD/closing requirements and local customs & practices
Availability to work extended hours when required (especially at end of month)
Responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and process escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
