Escrow Officer

Overview: The Escrow Officer is responsible for effectively managing the real estate closing transaction for insuring title insurance. Takes escrow accounts from origination to closing of each loan by determining requirements; assembling, preparing, reviewing, processing, and distributing closing documents; and disbursing funds Specific Duties: Prepare and review settlement statements in accordance with Texas guidelines Review final closing and title documents for accuracy prior to closing Correct and/or communicate inaccuracies quickly with clients and operations team Monitor and facilitate HUD preparation/closings during critical evening hours Potentially, perform other relevant escrow officer/assistant duties Specific Requirements: Minimum of 3 years experience with Texas HUD preparation/closing Experience working in a high-volume or national title company Experience with technology-based production using title/closing processing software Strong knowledge of Texas HUD/closing requirements and local customs & practices Availability to work extended hours when required (especially at end of month) Responsible for establishing new escrow accounts and process escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. General Requirements: Applicants must enjoy working in a faced-paced, team-oriented work environment, and must possess a commitment to demonstrating a strong and consistent work ethic. Qualified candidates must also possess a high attention to detail as this position involves responsibility for accuracy on critical real estate and mortgage lending documents. Additionally, candidates should have excellent communication skills and must be comfortable interacting with clients tactfully in high-pressure customer service situations.
