The firm was founded on the principle of achieving success by combining the latest technology with client oriented business practices, and a strong group of talented professionals.What you'll do:Act as liaison between design team and Utility agencies such as Electrical, Telecom, Cable, and Fiber-optic companies; Water & Sewer providers; Gas and Fuel transmission and distribution line operators; municipalities, etcSchedule and conduct, or attend if organized by others, utility meetings. Maintain notes/minutes and follow-up on action items from these meetingsPerform field reviews to verify design information and existing field conditionsProcure utility documents including mark-ups, GIS maps, future expansion plans, record drawings and any legal documents such as utility agreements, easement documents, utility work estimates and utility work schedules as necessary and pertaining to the projectReview roadway construction plans to assist design team in identification of potential utility conflicts and finding potential resolutions for these conflicts. Keep record of potential and resolved conflictsCreate and maintain Utility Conflict Matrix throughout the life of the project tracking risks and relocation completions or elimination of conflictsCreate and maintain Utility relocation matrix which accounts for conflicts throughout the life of the project including considerations for multiple contractors working in the project time and spaceCoordinate with municipalities and utility agencies to find solutions for utility conflicts and coordinate utility activities for construction projects as necessaryCalculate utility relocation costs and timing for utility activities to take placeProvide input to or prepare written documentation to be included in technical proposals, Scope of Services, and/or Staff Hours Estimates.
