SummaryThe Corporate Real Estate Manager is responsible for managing the firm’s real estate portfolio, including office leasing, space strategy, and facilities across New York and other key markets. The role partners closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to align real estate strategy with business objectives and aligns real estate strategy with client-facing prestige, culture and brand.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Real Estate Strategy & Portfolio Management Manage firm-wide real estate portfolio (leases, owned properties, expansions, consolidations) Develop long-term occupancy and space planning strategies aligned with business growth Conduct market analysis to support site selection and investment decisionsLeasing, Transactions & Legal Coordination Assist with lease negotiations, renewals, and dispositions with landlords and brokers Partner with internal legal teams on lease structuring, risk, and compliance Oversee due diligence, documentation, and regulatory requirements for transactionsFinancial Management Develop and manage real estate budgets (rent, utilities, capital projects) Perform financial modeling, cost analysis, and ROI evaluation of real estate decisions Identify cost-saving opportunities across the portfolioProjects, Facilities & Workplace Under supervision, oversee office buildouts, renovations, and workplace design initiatives Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors on capital projects Ensure delivery of efficient, high-quality office environments for attorneys and staffStakeholder Management Partner with: Finance (budgeting, forecasting) Legal (contracts, risk) HR / operations (headcount planning) Manage external vendors, brokers, and property managers Act as a key liaison between business leadership and real estate providersIn addition, responsibilities related to maintaining firm and client information are to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the firm’s information security policies, protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.Qualifications A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate, corporate real estate, commercial construction or interior design Experience in a law firm, financial services or professional services environment strongly preferred. Proven experience managing multi – location office portfolios Strong understanding of commercial real estate Experience in financial modeling and budgetingEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture or a related field required. MBA, NDIDQ (interior design) or Real Estate Certifications (CCIM, CPM) preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. When determining a candidate’s compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm.The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
