Project Superintendent - Electrical (RFQ 1536)Location: Aiken, SC (Onsite at SRS)Duration: 1 year contract with potential option yearsClosing Date: 05/12/2026Estimated Pay Rate: $76/hour with a standard benefits packagePosition OverviewSeeking an Electrical Superintendent to manage the planning, scheduling, cost, safety, quality, and technical field support for installation of project and maintenance work to meet or exceed customer expectations.DutiesManage the planning, scheduling, cost, safety, quality and technical field support for electrical installation workAssist Field Managers in directing construction of multiple capital projects to successful completion and DOE satisfactionServe as an electrical specialist supporting project teams and design review boards from inception to closeoutCoordinate construction outage schedules, cost controls, priorities, and planning with project management and plant schedulersResolve quality control and quality assurance issues and recommend corrective actionsCoordinate with design engineering to support scheduling of outputs and resolve design changes to improve constructabilityPromote productivity and safe work practices to maximize resource utilization and eliminate injuriesInterface with operations, DOE, and other departments, attend meetings, and provide project status updatesReview and approve job plans, permits, material requisitions, schedules, and related project documentsManage personnel assigned to capital projects and maintenance work including development, training, evaluations, and performance managementIdentify and resolve engineering and material constraints impacting critical work activitiesWork ScheduleStandard 40-hour work weekVarious schedules may be utilized including 5/8s, 4/10s, and 9/80sOvertime may be required to meet deliverablesJob RequirementsRequired Qualifications: Education & ExperienceEducation (one of the following):Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline and 8 - 10 years of practical electrical experience in construction or related areasAssociate's degree in an engineering technical discipline and 10 - 12 years of practical electrical experienceHigh school diploma and 12 - 16 years of practical electrical experienceExperience/Skills:Substantial cumulative experience in excess of eight years and in-depth knowledge of construction, safety, and planningAbility to evaluate technical design data and determine construction techniques and strategiesExperience managing multi-disciplined staff in a proactive, value-added mannerKnowledge of environmental regulations, industry developments, and site proceduresAbility to support planning, scheduling, and execution of construction activitiesOther Required QualificationsCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearanceExperience with electrical system installation and modification designed and constructed in accordance with national codes and standards such as NFPA and NECAbility to perform field walkdowns to document as-installed conditions and inspect equipmentKnowledge of nuclear facility design including safety class and safety significant codes and standardsAbility to prepare and revise construction plans, develop schedules, monitor progress, manage budget expenditures, and review quality of work performedPreferred QualificationsCandidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two years are preferred
