This involves focusing on compatibility testing across various hardware, operating systems, and performance tiers, ensuring a reliable and seamless experience for millions of players worldwide.The Role Own the compatibility test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for major game releases and updates. Define risk-based coverage to ensure the game functions correctly across supported hardware and software configurations. Investigate complex compatibility issues, communicate their impact, and recommend mitigation strategies. Collaborate with engineering, platform, and customer support teams to improve diagnostics, automation, and testing processes. Mentor junior team members and contribute to reusable testing standards and assets.What You'll Need 6+ years of software quality assurance experience, including leadership in QA efforts for complex products or live-service releases. Experience with compatibility, systems, hardware, client, or platform-focused testing, including risk-based test planning and coverage strategy. Experience investigating defects across hardware, operating systems, drivers, peripherals, graphics, input, or performance conditions and translating findings into clear release decisions. Experience working with distributed or external QA teams, operating independently, managing ambiguity, and influencing decisions across disciplines.
