Full Stack Developer

*Type:* Full-time *Team:* Engineering *About the Role* We’re looking for a mid-level Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team and take real ownership of features across our Python/Django backend and JavaScript frontend. You’ll work with a small, tight-knit team where you’re expected to design solutions independently, not just execute tickets. *Our Stack* You don’t need direct experience with every tool below — we’re more interested in strong fundamentals and the judgment to pick up what’s unfamiliar quickly. That said, this is a mid-level role, so we’re looking for someone who’s already comfortable working independently in a stack like this:
  • *Backend:* Python, with experience in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI
  • *Frontend:* Typescript/JavaScript, JQuery, Sass
  • *Database:* PostgreSQL
  • *Infrastructure:* AWS
*What You’ll Do*
  • Independently design, build, and maintain features across our Python backend and JavaScript frontend
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and give thoughtful code review
  • Design PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and diagnose performance issues
  • Deploy and support services running on AWS
  • Partner with product and design to scope work and make sound technical trade-offs
  • Debug issues across the full stack, from database queries to browser behavior
  • Weigh in on technical decisions as our stack and team evolve
*What We’re Looking For*
  • *3+ years of professional experience* building and shipping full stack web applications
  • Solid, hands-on experience with Python in a production backend like Django or Flask
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals — comfortable working without a heavy frontend framework, with a real understanding of the DOM, events, and browser behavior
  • Experience designing and querying relational databases; PostgreSQL specifically is a plus
  • Some experience deploying or operating services in a cloud environment, ideally AWS
  • A track record of owning features end to end, not just implementing well-specified tickets
  • Good judgment about trade-offs between speed, maintainability, and correctness
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working in a small team where everyone wears multiple hats
*Nice to Have*
  • Experience with one of Django
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.)
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling
  • Background in healthcare software
_We encourage you to apply even if you haven’t used every specific tool in our stack — strong fundamentals and independent ownership matter more to us than a perfect checklist match._
