Pega DeveloperLocation: Irving, TX/Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)Duration: 18 months, potential to extend or convertOverview:We are seeking a hands-on Pega Lead Developer with strong expertise in Pega Case Management and system integrations. This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities.The ideal candidate will design and build high-quality Pega solutions while helping team members, enforcing best practices, and partnering closely with architects, product owners, and integration teams.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & DeliveryLead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, with a strong emphasis on case management and workflow orchestrationActively contribute to development (rules, flows, integrations, UI, decisioning) as a hands-on lead, not just oversightTranslate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega designsEnsure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelinesCase Management ExpertiseDesign and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalationsLeverage case types, subcases, spin-offs, and wait shapes effectivelyOptimize user experience for case workers using Pega UX (sections, views, dashboards)System IntegrationDesign and implement integrations using:REST and SOAP servicesConnectors and ServicesPega Integration Patterns (Sync/Async, Queue Processors, etc.)Collaborate with downstream and upstream system teams to define interface contractsTroubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issuesMentorship & Team EnablementMentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, hands-on guidanceSet coding standards and reusable assets to improve team efficiencyQuality, Performance & OperationsParticipate in code reviews, performance tuning, and defect resolutionSupport deployment activities and production troubleshooting when neededEnsure compliance with security, audit, and operational standardsRequired Qualifications5+ years of Pega platform experience, with significant hands-on developmentStrong expertise in Pega Case ManagementProven experience with Pega system integrations (REST/SOAP, services, connectors)Solid understanding of:Pega rules engineFlow rules, decision tables, data pagesPerformance tuning and troubleshootingExperience leading or mentoring development teamsPega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSAPreferred QualificationsExperience with Pega Infinity (latest versions preferred)Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for PegaKnowledge of cloudExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsWhat We're Looking ForA hands-on leader who codes daily and leads by exampleStrong communicator who can work across technical and non-technical teamsProblem-solver with a passion for building high-quality, scalable solutions
