Extensive knowledge of No‐fault insurance and insurance coverage is required. The successful candidate will handle appeals as assigned and may counsel and assist underwriting, SIU, and other departments as needed.ResponsibilitiesHandle appeals of automobile insurance claims.Advise and assist underwriting, SIU, and other departments.Manage appeals files independently with strong organizational and technological skills.Draft appellate documents and argue appeals.Direct support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to appeals.Operate in a paperless electronic environment and utilize courtroom technology.Qualifications5+ years experience handling automobile insurance claims from inception to conclusion.2+ years handling appeals of automobile insurance claims.Extensive knowledge of local and state discovery rules, appellate procedures, and substantive law pertaining to automobile insurance claims.Experience drafting appellate documents and arguing appeals.Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to handling of appeals.Experience working in a paperless electronic environment.Strong automation/technological skills for courtroom presentation.Law degree from an ABA‐accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.Active law license to practice in New Jersey and member of the State Bar of NJ in good standing.CompensationBase pay range: $130,000.00/yr – $170,000.00/yr (actual pay based on experience).BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays)FSA and HRAParental leave opportunitiesLife and Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs (EAP)Discounted tickets to CURE Arena in NJVoluntary Benefits (Pet Insurance, ID & Fraud, Accident & Illness, and more)ScheduleFull‐time; Monday – Friday, 8:30am‐5pm.
