Travel to customer job site and troubleshoot process, throughput, accuracy and surface quality issues on all versions of Sinker/EDM products sold by MC Machinery Systems. While primarily these can be resolved by technology or program manipulation, occasionally machine repair or alignment will be necessary. This role will also be exposed to install and service work to help train and bring a deeper understanding of the machine tool.Essential Responsibilities:Follow-up and verify machine installations/alignments.Provide customer support via telephone on application and operation issues.Solving machine problems at customer sites in an effort to improve/enhance the performance of their Laser machinery.Technical training to customers both in the classroom and in the field.Phone support to customers and service personnel as needed.System Software testing, and duplication; Perform proving tests on newly received machine system software.Technical Writing; occasionally tasked to develop training manuals, workbooks and sample projects for use in the classroomSetup and Program machinesPrepare Training ExercisesDetailed Service Report documentationPrepare expenses reportsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position generally has a lot of flying, driving and overtime work. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license is required.Physical Requirements:This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, typing and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices.
